3Of
course, my family is the most important part of my life. Here I am
with my wife Susan at Manor Park in Larchmont, New York. We
met at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, when we were
working on our master's degrees in reading education.

4In
1985 Susan gave birth to our first set of twins: Anna
and Rachel.
Although it looks like we may have dressed them alike,
we usually did not. We have tried to respect their individual
differences.

3Anna
and Rachel are all grown up now, but it
seems like only yesterday that they were getting to know the world
on their terms. Here they are in England in 1988, visiting
Brougham Castle.

4In
1990 Susan gave birth to our second set of twins: David and Chloe.
Some people asked if they were identical (HINT: how could a boy and
girl twin be identical?).

3Now
David and Chloe have grown up and are finished with high
school. For a long time Chloe wanted to be a princess and David
wanted to be a knight. What does the future hold for them?
