Flag Fen

Flag Fen

A round house, typical of the type of home that Bronze Age people lived in. This one is located at Flag Fen (near Peterborough, England), one of the most important archaeological sites of the Bronze Age. Here, people deposited objects (and sometimes bodies) in the water of the nearby fen. You can read more about Flag Fen and the items discovered there in Bodies from the Bog. Photo taken from the cover.
