Zachary Taylor

This book explores the life and political career of Zachary Taylor, a distinguished soldier who was elected president in 1848 and died after only sixteen months in office. He was a man of many ironies: a Southerner and a slaveholder, he did not support the continuation of slavery in new states admitted to the Union.

The book also presents information students need to learn to write a report on this subject. The book provides Internet links (kept up-to-date at www.myreportlinks.com, source documents, and photos related to the president.

This book is part of the MyReportLinks.com Library.
