Discuss the three main types of ESP (see Chapter 2). Then present the five misconceptions outlines in Chapter 1. Lead students in a discussion of their own possible ESP experiences.

Writing/research activities: Reproduce the story and ESPrivate Eye Analysis from on pages 144-145. Ask students to read the study and complete the form. Go over their answers, using the material on pages 146-147 as a guide. 

In addition, ask students to conduct some experiments of their own ESPowers using the methods outlined in Chapter 7. They can do the Telephone Telepathy experiment.
