How to Travel Through Time

Intro          Teachers Guide

Students may scoff at the idea that time travel is possible, so outline the misconceptions and possibilities presented in Chapter 2. Read Chapter 1 and give The Time Out Test.

Writing/ research activities: For a rewarding, comprehensive activity, ask students (either individual or in small groups) to prepare their own Time Trip (they can read the story in Chapter 5. With the help of the school or public librarian, you can present students with a list of key events from your town's past. Students can select an event, read about it (perhaps at the public library or local history society) and complete a Time Trip Plan form (p. 81). Then students can share the results of their research with the class.
