When I visited you
recently, I spoke to the 5th and 6th grade about my writing and
research...especially related to my book Bodies
from the Ice: Melting Glaciers and the Recovery of the Past. A few
weeks before my visit, you had sent me letters, filled with questions
about my book and the research I had done. I read all of them and

When
I spoke to the 7th and 8th grades, I talked about how I research and
write nonfiction. I gave examples from my three "bodies"
books: Bodies from the Ice, Bodies
from the Ash, and Bodies from the
Bog.
