I told you about the
eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79 and the destruction of Pompeii. I
explained how Pompeii was rediscovered some 1700 years later. Early
excavators were interested in the valuable items that they found in
the volcanic debris. Eventually, they realized that, if they filled
the hollow area around any skeletons that they discovered, they would
be able to recreate the person at the time that he or she died. The
plaster casts created a sensation around the world.
After
my presentation I answered your questions. Thank you for your warm
welcome and for your Positive Behavior. You have a great school!
I'd
