Hello, 3rd, 4th, and 5th
graders! I visited you to talk about how I became a writer and how I
research my books. I'm hoping you'll get some ideas about how to do
your own research and writing.
I talked about the
biggest influences from my childhood: especially a haunted house or
two and some scary mummy movies.
You asked so many
thoughtful and provocative questions that we could have spent hours
talking.
I also shared
information about my book, Bodies
from the Ice: Melting Glaciers and the Recovery of the Past. I told you about the
melting glaciers and what has been discovered. I explained why
glaciers are important and why they have been so feared in the
past.
